The Radar 131: Mixed by CloudNone

The identity of CloudNone is still a mystery, but until the world sees another Chris Comstock moment, the producer can continue dish out his deep melodics anonymously, doing so on the latest edition of Dancing Astronaut‘s The Radar. The masked crusader made his career breakthrough with his 2018 single, “From Here,” featured on Monstercat‘s collaborative album with video game staple, Rocket League. Since then, CloudNone has been a Monstercat mainstay and recently released his five-track EP, Lights Out, via the imprint in May.CloudNone’s self-representative image is a figure clad in dark cloak, a white, illuminated mask, and a transfixing aura. This description doesn’t just apply to the enigmatic producer’s persona; it’s also the perfect way to describe the 60-minute concoction that he puts forth for Dancing Astronaut. The mix kicks off with “From Here” to signify humble beginnings, and poetically finishes with the newly released ATTLAS remix of the same track. The mau5trap signee adds trance-esque leads to the original’s lo-fi nature, his flip functioning as the finale to a loaded tracklist including Disclosure‘s “Who Knew?,” BRONSON‘s 2020 debut, “HEART ATTACK,” an Illenium and Said The Sky remix, and more.Tags: , , , , , , , , ,
