Blanke puts drum ‘n’ bass spin on Ray Volpe’s ‘Laserbeam’

Blanke‘s ÆON project is off to a hot start. Just a few weeks after Blanke directed his first drum ‘n’ bass EP, ÆON:ONE, to Deadbeats, followed by a heavy-hitting debut ÆON:MODE set at Deadrocks, comes his first official ÆON:EDIT—and it’s no surprise which track is up for Blanke’s drum ‘n’ bass interpretation. One of the hottest IDs in dance music of 2022, and now, one of the biggest tracks to be released this year, Ray Volpe‘s “Laserbeam” has attracted remixes from seemingly everyone (even Chris Lake). But Blanke’s ÆON:EDIT of “Laserbeam,” out now via SoundCloud, is one of the first high-profile remixes to come out since “Laserbeam” landed on June 24.The AEON edit coincides with the news of Blanke’s headlining show at Denver’s Odgen Theatre on November 23. The event will feature two sets from Blanke, one of which will be an ÆON:MODE set, as well as performances from Au5, Amidy, Chandler Leighton Presents: L8NCY, and Poni.
