TSHA brings Ninja Tune a bouquet of beauty with new ‘Flowers’ EP

TSHA‘s long-awaited debut EP on Ninja Tune has arrived, affirming the London-based producer’s status as one of electronic music’s most steadfast up-and-comers through a four-track tour de force that demands attention from start to finish.TSHA has ebbed and flowed through the dance scene for the past few years, making appearances everywhere from Lane 8‘s Brightest Lights Remixed album to Bonobo‘s latest Fabric presents mix. Now, TSHA is able to finally define her own sound with Flowers. Flowers shows astounding diversity for such a fresh face, however it’s all brought together by TSHA’s eloquent instrumentals and restrained approach to the genre. From the steady guitar strums of “Renegade” to the xylophonic grace of “Demba,” TSHA represents a producer with a true range of influences, and more importantly, absolutely no shortage of ideas. What might sound like “a little bit of this” and “a little bit of that,” however, is tied together with TSHA’s overarching motifs of groove and soul—a brand of dance music that’s long overdue.Flowers is out now via Ninja Tune.
