Charlotte de Witte Releases New EP ‘Amor’ on KNTXT

Charlotte de Witte needs little to no introduction and she is back with ‘Amor’, out now via KNTXT. The three-track EP features Brazilian artist CERES and stands as the warmest, most personal project the Belgian techno icon has released in years. Having spent fifteen years cementing her status as a titan of electronic music—from closing the Tomorrowland mainstage to selling out 23,000-capacity venues in her hometown of Ghent—de Witte continues to evolve her sound. As the founder of the KNTXT label, she remains at the forefront of the global techno scene, fresh off a debut album and a massive 20,000-person free rave in Genova.

The EP: Track by Track

‘Amor’ arrives as a cohesive three-tracker, with each composition featuring the breathy, full-toned vocals and Portuguese lyrics of Brazilian singer, DJ, and producer CERES. Subtle motifs link the tracks, creating a suite-like experience that rewards listeners who engage with the project in its entirety.

“This EP is inspired by my love for Portugal and Brazil, the country, the people, the food, the culture. Made with lots of amor,” said Charlotte de Witte.

The title track, ‘Amor’, opens with a galloping beat punctuated by spacey FX. A rising hoover siren builds tension before de Witte unleashes her signature acid-drenched sound. This is followed by ‘Sem Ar’ (meaning ‘Airless’), which utilizes frantic, rattling percussion to push the track into breakbeat-adjacent territory. CERES’ resonant voice takes center stage in an acapella breakdown before the track shifts into a sharp, propulsive acid-driven finale.

‘O Movimento’ (meaning ‘Movement’ or ‘Motion’) closes the EP with a high-speed beat and a relentless hi-hat backbeat that duels with the breathless vocal delivery of CERES. The vinyl edition of the release includes an exclusive fourth track: an instrumental mix of ‘O Movimento’ for those seeking a stripped-back production.

What Comes Next

‘Amor’ arrives as de Witte continues to expand her 2026 touring schedule. With headlining slots at Time Warp Brazil, EDC Las Vegas, We Love Green Paris, Kappa Futur Festival, Awakenings, and Sónar, the world’s number one techno DJ shows no signs of slowing down. She is, if anything, just getting started.
