PREMIERE: Tobias Bergson Reaches Melodic Bliss with Remix of Nativalien’s “On & On”

Upcoming talent Tobias Bergson is one to watch, and his newest proves it.

He’s gearing up to release a remix of Nativalien’sOn & On” featuring Pinwheel Valley, out September 26 via Hot Soap Records. The release follows the original July single, which picked up early momentum with support from YourEDM, This Song Is Sick, and a spot on La Belle Musique.

The original “On & On” blends piano lines and taut grooves with urban flecks, a radiant piece of chill house built for both sunrise and dancefloor. Bergson’s remix takes that warmth and recasts it in a more driving, hypnotic frame, layering melodic and progressive textures into a beautiful result. This remix will highly resonate with fans of Eli & Fur, Tinlicker, Yotto, and anybody who enjoys melodic house & techno. After all, when talking about his remix, Bergson stated that it was all about “Blending beautiful vocals with a touch of melodic techno.”

Bergson’s résumé points to a trajectory that’s been gaining altitude quickly. With 180 million streams across platforms, his music has made its way into Electronic Groove, House Music With Love, YourEDM, Mixmag Germany and Netherlands, When We Dip, DJ Mag, and 1001 Tracklists. He’s worked with marquee labels like Armada and Universal Music Austria, with DJ support spanning acts Don Diablo, Lost Frequencies, and Steve Aoki. Radio outlets from RTÉ 2FM in Ireland to CBC Music’s Afterdark, NPR, and KCRW’s Metropolis have also carried his work, while Spotify has placed him across playlists including Electronic Rise, Chillout Lounge, and Deep House Relax. His influences (Deadmau5, Ben Böhmer, Rampa, Chris Malinchak) filter into productions that stretch from deep house to techno, always with an atmospheric pull.

Nativalien, the project of Pinwheel Valley’s frontman Qais Khoury, also arrives with a globally textured background: Amman, London, Vancouver, and now Cyprus, where he leads Hot Soap. With over two million streams and coverage in CLASH, NOTION, Earmilk, and Billboard Argentina, plus radio play on BBC Radio London and Sheffield, Khoury has built a voice in melodic, emotive electronics. Clearly, there’s some serious pedigree behind both acts involved with this release.

“In the end, I’m really happy with how it turned out and excited to share it with you,” said Bergson. We’re also really happy with how it turned out, and cannot wait for the full release tomorrow, which you can pre-save here. But, if you want, you can take an early listen at the link below.
