Premiere: Golden Vessel unveils two new tracks under new lo-fi house banner, 1tbsp

Australia’s Maxwell Byrne, better known as Golden Vessel, has just released a new twofer, “Dhollandia” / “Circles” under his newly minted 1tbsp alias. After receiving tremendous feedback from fans with 1tbsp’s four-track debut EP, kanashī, Byrne was all the more motivated to bring new music to the table. “Dhollandia” and “Circles” distinctly convey Byrne’s incredibly well-honed production style, simultaneously pursuing more innovative ventures as well, incorporating overlaid synth work with crisp kicks and subdued vocal samples. Engaging this time with vintage production gear, this new sound is not only new for the project, but new to the ears of Byrne’s listeners. With “Cricles” initially intended as a song for the Golden Vessel project, Byrne quickly discovered the new soundscape drifted away from the original intention and into his latest lo-fi endeavor. Heeding inspiration from Brisbane nightlife, the venerated producer shares about his 1tbsp experience,Stay tuned for more releases from 1tbsp, and listen to Byrne’s new two-track output below.Featured image: Mammal SoundsTags: , , , ,
