After putting 11 originals on the board last year, OOTORO is resetting the counter in 2022 and traveling back in time to nearly a decade ago to give TNGHT‘s classic “Bugg’n” a taste of Jakartan house.First rinsed during his exclusive “The 20 of 2022” mix for Tomorrowland—in which he also unloaded a heap of forthcoming IDs—OOTORO’s edit remolds Hudson Mohawke and Lunice’s original into the ultimate house music weapon. Stripped of its trap complexion, OOTORO still holds onto the bold-faced nature of “Bugg’n” and inserts it with a bass-house transformation that serves as an auspicious beginning to his year ahead.
