Martin Garrix, Breathe Carolina headline STMPD RCRDS, Tomorrowland Music’s joint EP

A partnership between STMPD RCRDS and Tomorrowland Music wasn’t going to deliver anything short of first-class music. With STMPD RCRDS responsible for curating Tomorrowland’s The Library stage billing on the first day of its third weekend, Martin Garrix decided to hop onto the tracklist of the two label’s forthcoming STMPD RCRDS x Tomorrowland Music EP to kick off the stage takeover just ahead of his third consecutive weekend in Boom.STMPD RCRDS and Tomorrowland Music’s collaborative project will be filled out by a total of seven tracks once it reaches completion in the coming week. Four of those tracks had already arrived leading up to July 29, with KVSH and CAROLA’s “Welcome To The Future” having originally gotten the EP ball rolling two weeks prior before being trailed by LOOPERS and NUZB‘s “Rave Alert,” Julian Jordan‘s “Vibe,” and lastly Justin Mylo, Pontifexx, and Clara Sofie’s “Falling Into You.” And the track to put a slash through the EP’s first tally mark group could’ve only from the label head himself. The week before Garrix made his way over to Belgium, he kicked off another summer residency at Ushuaïa and introduced a never-before-heard ID. That ID was quickly connected to a studio video he’d shared on his Instagram story a few weeks earlier, leading many to safely assume he was involved. But most likely couldn’t have forecast it to be an association with Breathe Carolina, with “Something” making its world debut in grand fashion during Tomorrowland’s first weekend. “Something” could’ve easily found itself on Sentio it been included on the tracklist three months prior, with Garrix riding his album’s festival-focused energy with an electro house-charged cross with the duo that has left everyone uncontrollably repeating “and it goes something like”—which Garrix himself provides vocals for—to themselves these past few weeks. While there’s no official confirmation yet as to the EP’s pair of remaining tracks, stream “Something” below while simultaneously enjoying the first day of Tomorrowland’s third weekend.Featured image: Louis van BaarTags: , , , , , , , , , , , ,
