Lane 8 green lights the year’s newest season on three-hour ‘Fall 2022 Mixtape’

Happy first day of fall. We all know how the seasonal beginnings operate at this point and it’s no different for the year’s official inch towards cooler temperatures. Lane 8‘s quarterly mixtapes are widely known to be delivered at some point in the time leading up to the rest of the world’s observed change of the seasons and on September 21, his staple crossword-styled artwork popped up with everyone’s favorite six words: “i made you a new mixtape.”With the Reviver circuit in full swing and a pair of Red Rocks dates now in his rearview, the This Never Happened originator’s “Fall 2022 Mixtape” sits at just over three hours in length. While most of Lane 8’s seasonal offerings typically ignite with an introductory ID, his newest marathon packages four consecutive unidentified cuts in just the first 15 minutes before having an artist and track title attached. And those four IDs turn into a grand total of 13 IDs—plus three reworks of “Closer,” “Watermelon Wormhole,” and “Automatic”—that are now ours to hopelessly decipher and endlessly repeat before becoming label release candidates throughout the rest of 2022. Throughout the mixtape’s 48-piece tracklist, Lane 8 brings forth a group of both new and familiar faces, including releases from the likes of Hunter/Game, Rinzen, Jerro, Four Tet, Kasablanca, Innellea, Tinlicker, Grigoré, Cassian, Spencer Brown, Yotto, and many more.Ring in the undisputed best season of the year with Lane 8’s “Fall 2022 Mixtape” on both SoundCloud as well as on Apple Music in lossless quality.Featured image: Fixation PhotographyTags: ,
