Two of the most intriguing acts in modern electronic music, Jamie XX and The Avalanches, have teamed up for a brand new back-to-back mix. Broadcast on NTS Radio in place of Jamie’s solo monthly show, the two acts cover a truly broad array of tunes ranging from disco, funk, house, and to ambient music at times, surprisingly enough. Jamie even throws in some new material with his “Lockdown Edit” of “Bored to Tears.”
Both artists have been making noise with their own releases along with their mix. The Avalanches, famous for lengthy waiting periods between releases, have already shared two new singles in 2020, including their collaborations with Rivers Cuomo and Blood Orange. Last month, Jamie XX ended his lengthy hiatus with “Idontknow.”
