‘Drum & Bass: The Movement’ documentary shines light on history and culture

Every genre has its story, but the one of drum ‘n’ bass is founded on a movement. To celebrate the scene beyond the nights at the club, Drum&BassArena is releasing a full length documentary, aptly titled Drum & Bass: The Movement.

The 80-minute documentary touches on the genre’s strident club scene, but more importantly, hones in on the vibrant culture and history of drum ‘n’ bass from 1996 to 2016. Created with the help of bass icons of yesterday and today, acts like Goldie, Andy C, Friction, Chase & Status, Roni Size, and DJ Flight, Drum & Bass: The Movement gives an eye-opening context to one of England’s most deepest rooted dance genres.

The film is set to premiere on Drum&BassArena’s YouTube channel on May 25, but for a taste of how drum ‘n’ bass became a fully fledged lifestyle, check out the trailer below.
