Bleu Clair, OOTORO run it back over a year later for ‘Killer Bee’ with Chyra

More than a year and a half following one of Dancing Astronaut‘s most-anticipated IDs of 2021 being converted into what would become one of Dancing Astronaut‘s top releases of 2021, Bleu Clair and OOTORO have officially reunited. A “Beat Like This” sequel simply wasn’t a matter of if but when, and the two friends seem to be headed down a similar path with their collaborative successor, consummating a trio with Chyra—who met with the latter earlier this year—for the creation and dispersal of “Killer Bee.”It wasn’t going to be a downhill trek for the Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2021 and Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2022 to follow up what was achieved through STMPD RCRDS back in February 2021, but “Killer Bee” hits all the boxes on what a reunion between them could and should look like. And after tagging along for Bleu Clair’s North American adventure this summer—which closed out with two nights at The Brooklyn Mirage—”Killer Bee” didn’t sit inside his ID lockbox too long before being transported into the release chamber to start October. “Killer Bee” inarguably holds its own when held in the same light as “Beat Like This,” trading out the disco-laced thematics that Bleu Clair and OOTORO originally pointed their production hands and opting for a more club-angled, minimalistic stance behind a magnetic lyrical backing from Chyra as they deftly realign their tech-house styles for a worthy second meeting. Listen to Bleu Clair, OOTORO, and Chyra strike gold below.Featured image: Eric CunninghamTags: , ,
