Audien continues to artfully lean into the progressive house genre on his newest single “Way Back Home” featuring Jordan Grace. The Armada-backed tune features a throwback sound without feeling stale. Audien’s modern twist on that golden-era progressive sound feels fresh, while still pulling the listener right back at festival stages circa 2012. In an exclusive interview with Dancing Astronaut just before his banner headlining show at the Hollywood Palladium, Audien said “I live, breathe, and eat progressive house” and his latest single continues to prove just that. Jordan Grace, who has previously lent his voice to tracks by Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero, supplies the soaring vocals to “Way Back Home” and perfectly matches Audien’s quality production. Says Audien,“‘Way Back Home’ is, to me, about getting in touch with myself. I had an incredible summer on the road, but that also meant I didn’t get to spend much time at home or with the people who are dear to me. This song encapsulates the long nights on the road and the loneliness you can feel, but also that you’re never truly alone and that there’s always a guiding light to follow.” Audien is fresh off of the release of “Drifting Away” with Joe Jury in September which featured as an ID during his recently completed Progressive House Never Died tour. He also turned in an exclusive 60-minute mix for Dancing Astronaut shortly after, that highlighted Audien tracks new and old plus other favorites that have become staples in his sets.
