Aluna is no stranger to a hit. She’s released a steady stream of traction-gaining singles from her forthcoming album, Renaissance, and “Envious” now joins the corral of cuts to be released ahead of the LP. As to be expected, the single is nothing short of infectious, with a pulsing backdrop that mixes with Aluna’s punching vocals. Laced with an attitude that lures the listener in while striking an emotive chord, “Envious” is filled with energy. In addition to releasing “Envious,” Aluna spoke with Zane Lowe on Apple Music about Renaissance. During the interview, Aluna described the inspiration behind the album’s name, stating,Renaissance will be out in full on August 28 via Mad Decent.
