STAR SEED look to ‘Divine Intervention’ on debut Proximity release with Hildur Ottilia

STAR SEED are no strangers to unique sound design and on their latest single with Hildur Ottilia, they dip even deeper into their bass side. On the Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2022‘s newest release in a long sequence of them in 2022, Ottilia backs “Divine Intervention” with her enchanting vocals, which features a soothing, piano-laden build into a euphoric bass drop that seems to be their own inspired take on Flume‘s signature future-bass touch. And “Divine Intervention” marks a first for STAR SEED, with beloved YouTube curator-turned-record label Proximity hosting their newest original that makes for a perfect fit on a label that prides itself on reviving the melodic, euphoric emotion of years past.STAR SEED explained how “Divine Intervention” came to be, explaining that “when [they] made the idea for this song, [they] wanted to explore new sound design techniques but keep a focus on melodic elements. Working with Hildur on this song was a pleasure. She absolutely brought the record to life.”STAR SEED’s Proximity debut marks a release follow-up to “How To Let Go” with Luma on Insomniac‘s Lost In Dreams imprint as well as an official remix for Trivecta‘s “Back To The Start” on Ophelia Records. The duo currently has four shows lined up in the near future, including an appearance at Tulua Nightclub in Cincinnati, a brace of shows in Southern California in support of Yultron, and their first-ever appearance on Groove Cruise.
