Rossy announces debut EP ‘HEAVENS DOOR,’ delivers lead single ‘KARMA’ with Jazz Cartier

Rossy‘s biggest project to date is about to come to life on Insomniac‘s HARD Records. The Dancing Astronaut Artist To Watch in 2022 has formally disclosed her debut EP HEAVENS DOOR alongside the release of its lead preview, “KARMA” with Jazz Cartier. It all comes on the heels of what’s been her most historic year thus far, with numerous appearances at some of the country’s largest festivals like HARD Summer plus supporting slots for names like Griz, Zeds Dead, and ILLENIUM. And in the buildup to HEAVENS DOOR, trap queen also just revealed her Brownies & Lemonade-backed debut headline show of the same name on both December 9 and 10 at Los Angeles’ Moroccan Lounge.Looking back at that show announcement—which led to a sold-out status almost instantaneously—Rossy’s release confirms that she was foreshadowing her incoming freshman EP. “Karma” is undeniably gritty and rife with energy-filled trap and bass before crescendoing towards a euphoric third drop that puts Rossy’s signature sound design front and center alongside Jazz Cartier. This all comes on top of a string of 2022 releases like “Heaven” on Deadbeats, “Hysteria” on Lowly., and an official rework of Juelz‘s “All Through The Night.” And Rossy also had an ID of hers rinsed during RL Grime‘s Halloween XI show that will likely make the list as one of Dancing Astronaut‘s most-anticipated IDs of 2023 assuming it’s excluded from 2022’s release radar. While Rossy’s artist to watch eligibility is now nearing its end, she’s certainly a name we’ll continue to keep a close eye on in 2023 and beyond as one of the fresh new faces of dance music.
