Zeds Dead, Blanke meet on Deadbeats for long-awaited pairing, ‘The Machines’

Zeds Dead have continually managed to find a balance between their signature Deadbeats sound and a relatively lighter side that they’ve explored throughout most of 2022. After a pair of singles—”I Took A Ride” as well as their “Alive” sequel with MKLA—Zeds Dead are now moving right back into their hard-hitting sound for one of bass music’s most anticipated IDs of the year with Blanke, “The Machines.”Teased in numerous sets this past year and also presented by both at Deadrocks back in July, “The Machines” quickly switches from an eerie intro right into freshly sequenced synths that combine for the ultimate mixture of mid-tempo and dubstep, reminiscent of each producer’s impressionable touch. And as Blanke turns the corner from his two-for-one ÆON EP showing, he described the long-awaited crossover as “one for the old school Blanke” and it will surely make the sounds during his newly revealed Earth To The Stars tour.
