Knock2 had been on Dancing Astronaut’s radar long before his Artist To Watch in 2021 nod at the tail end of 2020. Since then, the San Diego-based artist has flexed his signature trifecta of bass, house, and trap through tracks like “dashstar*,” “JADE,” and one of our most-anticipated IDs of 2022, “gettin’ hott.” Despite that exponential growth in streaming numbers that came behind the strength of recent releases, there was still something he’d never done before: play his own headlining show. That all changed on June 18 when Knock2 presented “ROOM202” inside downtown Los Angeles’ The Catwalk Club, which was a Brownies & Lemonade and Nightmode-backed evening that featured the likes of Mia Inferno, Aleko, and Hikeii.“ROOM2022” tickets were gone in less than a day and the energy inside the building explained why, with the collective energy being as high as it could possibly get. For those who missed out on being at the show in person and those just looking to relive the evening, Knock2’s 77-minute set was recorded officially in full and uploaded to YouTube as well as on Apple Music. The show also included guest appearances from Henry Fong, NGHTMRE, ISOxo, Cheyenne Giles, and RemK, all of whom joined the San Diego Waterboy on stage during their respective collaborative efforts.
