One of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists To Watch in 2022, Seattle-born Surf Mesa has officially unlocked his first single of the calendar year. Co-produced by Grammy-nominated producer Nitti Gritti, who also accounts for one-half of SIDEPIECE, “Marching Band” landed on March 24 via Astralwerks Records—just days before Surf Mesa performed his debut set at Ultra Miami on March 27. At 21-years-old, Surf Mesa has garnered massive support from some of dance music’s top performers since breaking onto the scene in 2019 with “ily (i love you baby).” The young DJ has opened for The Chainsmokers, received an official remix from Tchami on his Madison Beer collaboration, “Carried Away,” and he’s due to perform at Lollapalooza 2022 alongside the likes of Kygo, REZZ, Kaskade, and more. “Marching Band” is also Nitti Gritti’s first original of 2022, answering his 2021 year-closer, “Daddy / What Happens In Vegas.” Stream the joint effort below.Featured image: Surf Mesa/InstagramTags: astralwerks, Kygo, lolla, lollapalooza, Madison Beer, Marching Band, Nitti Gritti, SIDEPIECE, surf mesa, Tchami
