Wax Motif, longstoryshort unleash lusted-after ID, ‘On The Low’

There’s nothing “On The Low” about Wax Motif and longstoryshort‘s lusted-after Mario Winans-sampling ID. Before it formally hit streaming platforms as “On The Low,” the bass-house flirtation with Winans’ 2004 R&B single, “I Don’t Wanna Know,” could be found pervading dance’s live circuit, surfacing in sets from the creators themselves, as well as Afrojack, Diplo, and Don Diablo. The potent one-off, which marks Wax Motif’s first release post-House Of Wax, scored one of its largest play outs to date during the Australian-born producer’s debut Ultra Miami set. Live from the festival’s Worldwide Stage, Wax Motif brought longstoryshort on stage for an unexpected rendition of their hotly anticipated joint effort.A flex of their explosive synergy, “On The Low” arrives as longstoryshort’s first production of 2022, and what a way to start off the year it is. Hear “On The Low” vault from ID to official release below. Wax Motif fans can catch it live in action at his recently announced show at the Hollywood Palladium on June 4. Tickets to his first-ever headlining stint at one of Los Angeles’ most famed venues are available for purchase here. Featured image: Sir John W. Chiaravalle III Tags: , , ,
