Tempo Pro Gives Producers a Cleaner Way to Step Outside and Come Back Focused

Oyster has launched the Tempo Pro, a new $550 cooler that adds one feature that fits that “step outside and come back sharper” routine: an integrated temperature monitor that shows real-time internal cooler temperature on the lid display.

I was a massive fan of their previous cooler that dropped, so I’m sure this is a continuation of that momentum.

It also shows ambient outside temperature, and it supports Fahrenheit and Celsius. The point is not the gadget factor, the point is that you can stop hovering over the cooler and opening it to check, which keeps temps stable and keeps you outside doing the thing that actually resets you.

For a producer, this works as a practical support tool for outdoor breaks that have a purpose. You throw it in the car for a mid-day park session, you bring it to the beach after a writing block, or you post up somewhere with a friend and talk through your next release plan, and you do not have to keep managing your food and drinks like a second job.

That matters because the easiest outdoor resets are the ones you actually repeat, and repeatability is the part that improves your studio output across weeks, not days.

What Tempo Pro Adds and Why It Keeps You Outside Longer

Oyster says the Tempo Pro builds on the original Tempo Cooler with a full aluminum construction at 5.6 kg or 12.3 lb, and a 23L capacity they describe as holding 36 cans plus 2 ice packs. They also credit their ThinWall design for keeping the outer footprint smaller than many hard coolers at similar capacity. The specs list IPX5 water resistance for wet conditions, a removable and attachable lid, and an auto-sleep mode that activates after 24 hours to preserve battery life, plus a black shoulder strap.

Those details connect back to studio life in a direct way. If your outdoor reset is a quick move, like a 45-minute walk with a snack, a laptop-free sit in the sun, or cooking something after a long session, you want gear that stays light and predictable, and you want fewer reasons to bail early. A built-in temp display helps because it removes uncertainty, and uncertainty is what turns a break into a bunch of small decisions.

The Simple Use Case for Producers

If you are trying to protect your focus, you can treat “outside time” like a scheduled part of the process, then build a repeatable kit around it. Tempo Pro fits that kit because it makes it easier to leave the studio without over-planning, and it supports longer breaks without the cooler becoming the thing you manage. You go outside, you reset, you come back, and you have a better chance of making decisions fast instead of second-guessing.

Tempo Pro is available now via oystercooler.com at $550, with the integrated temperature monitoring system positioned as the headline upgrade.
