Teddy Beats enlists Britt Lari for slap-house-inspired single, ‘Alive’

Teddy Beats cements his sixth single of the calendar year with a fierce new collaboration, “Alive,” featuring Peruvian vocalist, Britt Lari. The Smash Deep Records offering reflects Teddy’s characteristically chilled sound with a fiery twist in the form of a slap-house-inspired bass drop. “Alive” continues the trend of Teddy’s recruitment of talented vocalists for one-off collaborations, following “Smile” with Jolee Nikoal and “Everybody Needs Love” with repeat contributor Jacob Browne. Detailing the grey area between pop and EDM, Teddy Beats’ “Alive” definitely leans toward the latter across most of the track’s duration. Contextually, this especially makes sense considering his June 12 Echo Stage opening for Zedd and Devault. With bookings beginning to stack up as dance floors reopen across the US, the fervent new single’s release comes at a decidedly appropriate time.
