After taking hold of the re-imaginative reins for Flume‘s lead Palaces single, “Say Nothing,” in mid-March, Tchami finds his second remixing opportunity of 2022 in Shiba San‘s “I Wanna.” The original is classic Shiba San: in-your-face bass well-suited for a Dirtybird soirée or a Miami Music Week after at Club Space, complete with a rhythm that demands footwork. When “I Wanna” goes from one Parisian to the next, though, the July single becomes an entirely different animal. Under Tchami’s oversight, “I Wanna” gets a sleek future-house gloss. Tasteful synth additions and a refocus on the song’s vocal sample impress Tchami’s polished signature on “I Wanna.” You don’t need Shazam to know that this one’s Tchami’s, so slip that phone back into your pocket and bask in the Frenchman’s buttery-smooth answer to June’s “LOW” with Oliver Heldens and Anabel Englund.Tchami’s remix, distributed by Shiba San’s Basement Leak, is now streaming everywhere.Featured image: Tchami/InstagramTags: future house, remix, shiba san, Tchami
