Subtronics graces Audius with unexpected remix of Gucci Mane’s ‘I Might Be’

Subtronics is a name everyone has been talking about for the past year. The bass music and kendama aficionado skyrocketed into the global spotlight in recent years, and recently used his platform to launch his own record label Cyclops Recordings. After unleashing the label’s debut compilation Boot Camp, and discussing not only the inspiration behind it but the foundation of the label with Dancing Astronaut in an exclusive Q&A, Subtronics is gracing our ears yet again, this time with an unexpected bootleg.Uploaded exclusively on the cryptocurrency-fueled music streaming platform Audius, Subtronics’ remix of Gucci Mane‘s “I Might Be” sees Substronics completely recreate a persuasive new instrumental under Mane’s verses. The first minute of the song has a notable lack of drums, which tremendously increases the impact of the break underneath the chorus of the song. Bright, trippy arpeggiators mesh with tight drums and Mane’s vocals for a wook-approved deep dubstep treat. Stream it on Audius below.Featured image: ShutterfingerTags: , , , ,
