The funkiest veterans in dance music, Chromeo have been kicking grooves for decades. Over their lengthy career, the duo has done it all, but breaks new ground with its latest EP, Quarantine Casanova. A culturally conscious effort, the EP is full of tracks that playfully preach coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) safety. From “Clorox Wipe” to “6 Feet Away,” Chromeo touch on all the day-to-day aspects of living and loving through a pandemic.
In addition to being timely, COVID-19-themed music, Quarantine Casanova is making a charitable difference. All proceeds from digital downloads, vinyl, and merch sales will be donated to Know Your Rights Camp, an organization dedicated to empowering black youth and other people of color by informing them about their rights. Funds will specifically support Know Your Rights Camp’s COVID-19 relief fund to help communities affected by the virus. Fans can buy the EP on Bandcamp, or donate directly to the fund here.
