Sofi Tukker have released a new track, “Emergency,” that, unlike many other electronic releases, is based on a real-life experience. The deep house track brought to life alongside Russian producer Novak and Dutch producer YAX.X loops the lyrics, “She broke her leg, call the ambulance…EMERGENCY.” The lyrics reference the time when Sophie broke her foot on stage at Groovin the Moo Festival in Australia. The incident caused the American duo to to cancel its tour, and they even wrote “House Arrest” with Gorgon City in that period of time.Through anticipation of Sofi Tukker’s off-the-wall vocals, the track drops into a bouncy landscape of heart-thumping bass and catchy horn arrangement for a continuation of the tandem’s 2020 takeover.
