Metallica has been celebrating the 10th anniversary of their Blacklist compilation by inviting more than 50 artists to provide their distinct takes on some of the band’s greatest hits. SebastiAn recently mashed up the band’s “Don’t Tread On Me” and “Nothing Else Matters,” providing a French house-style framework to anchor James Hetfield‘s shouting vocals. “Don’t Tread on Else Matters” finds SebastiAn turning in his first new piece since his 2019 album, Thirst. The producer sat down with Dancing Astronaut to discuss the release, and expressed that he wanted to get back to making remixes. With “Don’t Tread on Else Matters,” SebastiAn fulfills his promise, returning to his roots for for an unexpected rework that brings Metallica down to the dance floor.
