Mako‘s signed and sealed revitalized edition of Fable has landed. The Juilliard graduate’s deep-rooted musicianship radiates through a spectrum of supplemental soundscapes on his highly anticipated Fable remix LP. The full-length project arrives on the heels of Rat City‘s future bass rewiring of “Ocelot,” the eighth track from the album, issued in December of 2020. Berlin-based electronica specialist Jan Blomqvist leads the lineup of gifted interpreters with his dominating “Rollercoaster” remix. The spacious four-on-the-floor derivation sets up an anthemic atmosphere that pervades the entire project. Each featured producer delivers a unique yet complementary revision of their assigned Fable tune. Whereas Helion wields an infectious Tchami-esque bass drop on his “Again” rework, Elephante brandishes euphoric poly-synths on a reimagined “Chameleon.” Toggling between future house and future bass impressions, Fable: The Remixes yields a breath of fresh air with each consecutive track.
