4B can be found returning to his “drum/jungle roots” on his second one-off of 2022, “Drum.” “I wanted to keep the song pretty simplistic because a lot of the time, less is more,” 4B mused. But as the collaboration with Damian Avila evidences, “simple” is not synonymous with low impact. Outfitted with club-positioned trappings—a rousing vocal monologue, builds that epitomize what it means to effectively spark anticipation for the breaks, and thumping breakdowns—”Drum” has clear club and festival set potential, and it therefore comes as no surprise that fixtures like Flosstradamus, Alison Wonderland, and Diplo have already lent their support to 4B’s answer to his year-opener with Chuwe, “Turn Up,” released via HARD Recs. “Drum,” born out of 4B’s internet interactions with Avila, will electrify digital streaming platforms when it formally releases via Maca Records on June 10, but listeners can hear it one day early, exclusively on Dancing Astronaut. The single can also be expected to galvanize crowds at any one of 4B’s 2022 spring/summer tour dates; a complete list of upcoming stops is available below.4B 2022 Spring/Summer Tour Dates:
