Oliver Heldens‘ signature sound is exemplified by his rework of Katy Perry‘s “Daisies,” the second electronic remix of Perry’s original to arrive to date, in a signification of the collision between the pop and electronic worlds. Heldens’ thumping house notes are what dance floors are made of, but he nevertheless foregrounds the best parts of Perry’s vocals in his spin, maintaining the song’s appeal to a diverse range of audiences.
Heldens layers the same house notes present in the beginning of the remix over its orchestral laced drop to add a dramatic flair to the already enamoring single. Perry herself is seemingly a big fan of the remix and shared a video of herself dancing to Heldens’ take.
The thumping single is the perfect tune to lift the mood in the room or keep the party going, and with Heldens at the helm, the “Daises” remix is sure to do just that. Heldens’ take follows MK‘s recent submission of a house rendition of the single.
