After a few years away from the release front, ODESZA stepped into the spotlight once again to deliver the long-anticipated senior album The Last Goodbye this past July. Packed with 13 cosmic tracks, the album proved that their time off decisively did wonders for duo. Now, ODESZA are unveiling five new offerings for a (likely) first installment of The Last Goodbye remix series.With a turn of the remixed tracks “Forgive Me,” “Wide Awake,” “Equal,” and a double remix dose of “The Last Goodbye” single, these four tracks transform from the slow melodic churn of the originals, to darker corners of the house and techno realms as DJ Seinfeld, Gilligan Moss, Devault, Nils Hoffman, and Eli & Fur each added a nuanced touch to the collection. Though a sequel is unconfirmed, the remix album’s title, N°1—similar to the BRONSON remix series—implies more fresh renditions are on the horizon. So, this likely isn’t The Last Goodbye, indeed.
