Following Sentiment remixes from the likes of Midnight Kids, Blanke, and Elohim, Nurko is next up, with a take on Said The Sky and FRND‘s “Bittersweet Melody.” “I made this tune on tour, so a lot of this remix was made on the plane and in hotels. I thought it would be cool to implement some half time vibes instead of keeping the tune four-to-the-floor, like the original,” Nurko said of the Lowly.-backed remix. “I really loved the melody FRND sang in the chorus, so I wanted to implement a variation of that melody into the first drop. I always love to do two different drops so for the second one, I implemented more of a lead melody rather than vocal chops which was a lot of fun!”Nurko’s spin on “Bittersweet Melody” comes just one week after his sought-after collaboration with ARMNHMR and Micah Martin, “Won’t Make A Sound,” which was released after nearly three years of waiting. Prior to that, Nurko teamed up with Proximity to deliver his anthemic five-track debut EP, Arrival; the project coincided with his first-ever headlining tour.Meanwhile, Said The Sky is still riding the high of Sentiment‘s February release. He recently wrapped up a 36-stop headlining tour that coincided with the album’s release and featured stops at Grand Park in Los Angeles and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. He recently announced a hometown headlining show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre (August 14). Tickets for the show can be purchased here.Stream Nurko’s remix of Said The Sky and FRND’s “Bittersweet Melody” below.
