Neon Owl & Icon Collective Announce Partnership + Artist-First Event in LA

Music collective Neon Owl has spent the last decade building a name as one of dance music’s most trusted communities for artist development—and now, they’ve announced a partnership with LA’s Icon Collective music school (home to alumni like Jauz, SLANDER, and others) to take that mission even further.

On April 19, Neon Owl brings its flagship Open Door Sessions (ODS) to Icon’s Burbank campus, offering panels, songwriting workshops, industry mixers, demo feedback, and track breakdowns for artists. It’s a major moment for Neon Owl founder Elaine Huang, as ODS have led to label signings, festival bookings, and career-changing collabs—inviting past panelists such as Andrew Rayel, Gene Farris, and Habstrakt.

DJs who attend will also have a shot at playing later that night. Neon Owl is curating a stage at SOMNA’s Pathways event at Catch One, and select participants from the open decks portion of the day will be invited to jump on the lineup.
