In the past few years, Maliboux has made more than a compelling case for recognition in the electronic space. Following his breakthrough with 2018’s “I Got It” alongside Nitti Gritti, Maliboux flexed his production chops, taking the title of Zedd’s “Inside Out” remix competition champ in 2020 while evincing his ear for original sound design. In 2021, he dressed Drake and Future’s “Way 2 Sexy” in sonic accessories fit for any main stage. The flip ran laps around the festival circuit accordingly, surfacing in fellow producers’ sets, such as Zedd’s. And though Maliboux’s remixing capacities have a clear history of success, they’re but one of several aces in his pocket. Last year saw Maliboux give wings to two original singles—“Freakshow” and “GoodLove”—and on his first release of 2022, his ingenuity as a solo producer simply can’t be overlooked.
