MAFIA B releases rip-roaring ‘What The F**K’ EP

MAFIA B’s What The F**K EP is intended to titularly capture the zeitgeist of the COVID-19 pandemic. “I think many of us had plenty of WTF moments last year, thus the inspiration for my project,” the 29-year-old, New York-anchored artist said. MAFIA B’s first content of the new calendar year, What The F**K digs its heels into force-ridden, bass-threaded electronic that seems to slam through speakers—per his design. Acknowledging the five-tracker to be “a bit more aggressive than [his] older works,” the experimentalist—known offstage as Brian Fein—stitches together the low end with glitchy instrumentals for a frenetic framework that envelops guests On Smash and Petite Celine within its arresting aesthetic. Though What The F**K is largely instrumentally driven, the EP notches his first project featuring more than one vocalist, in a testament to his venturing into more vocal-led electronic forms. Arriving emphatically via First Class Original, What The F**K  is available to stream in all of its bold glory below. Featured image: Aaron StreetsTags: , ,
