Lost Kings kept themselves occupied in the latter half 2020 as they pieced together their four-track It’s Not You EP, though Robert Abisi and Nick Shanholtz are now turning the page into 2021. Paired with the announcement of a coinciding 15-stop tour around the continental US, which includes back-to-back pit stops at Webster Hall, “I Miss The Future” drops in as the Los Angeles duo’s newest original alongside Jordan Shaw.“I Miss The Future” lands at a timely moment, as the restrictions of the pandemic begin to wane away and normalcy begins to creep back into our collective line of sight. Lost Kings and Jordan Shaw take a chance to weigh in on how much day-to-day life was taken for granted throughout the last year-and-a-half. Lyrical message aside, Lost Kings are in prime production form yet again, shadowing the high-grade crossover formula from EP numbers like “Hurt” and “Oops” and turning in a summer-doused single that was already loaded up into Dancing Astronaut‘s pregame soundtrack the moment midnight struck on release day.
