LODATO invites listeners to step out under the ‘Neon Lights’

With peaking radio presence in past years, LODATO‘s dance-pop presence has been felt across a crossover conversion of Dua Lipa’s “Break My Heart,” not to mention hybrid originals encompassing “HOME” and “Good Thing,” among other gems in his treasure chest. In a new year of music, LODATO continues to assert his status as an ascending authority in dance-pop sound via “Neon Lights,” an ’80s-inflected tack-on to January’s “Blurry” and March’s “Feel All My Lovin’.” Stitched together with synth-led melodies and a warm vocal sample that plays to a pop strength—an enticing hook—”Neon Lights” is a windows-down moment immortalized in a three-minute and two-second runtime. Though LODATO initially made his name in the remix pool, the Queens native is noticeably underscoring his capacity for original creation, and the dance community is responding accordingly. “Neon Lights” is out now via Spinnin’ Records.
