Kyle Walker replants on Repopulate Mars for long-awaited ‘Zilla’ EP

If anyone has been in the crowd for a John Summit set throughout 2021 so far, there’s been a more than likely chance of hearing a then-unreleased ID from Kyle Walker and VLTRA (IT). For a second time this year, Walker is going through Lee FossRepopulate Mars to not only unchain his Zilla EP’s highly awaited title number, but also a B-side and C-side that come together to round out his three-part project.Sampling Pharoahe Monarch’s 1999 hit, “Simon Says,” Kyle Walker brings in Italian brace VLTRA (IT) to tip-toe the lines between hip-hop royalty and tech-house mastery on one of the most in-demand tracks of late. Walker stands unaccompanied on Zilla‘s latter pair of offerings, with both “Sass” and “Desolate” serving out their own respective warmth of refined tech-house, making for a fully stocked care package of live weapons as the show circuit only continues to come back to life.Featured image: @tronslens/InstagramTags: , ,
