After building a joint rapport with listeners back in 2013 with the release of “Last Chance,” Kaskade and Project 46 have reconvened for a sonic encore, this time on a new single titled, “Chains.”
With festivals on pause for the foreseeable future, Kaskade and Project 46 opt to bring main stage euphoria to listeners’ living rooms. Project 46’s vocals command the same the ethereal potency that it did on “Last Chance,” filmily soaring in soprano fashion across the three minute outing.
Whereas Kaskade’s recent releases (see “Come Away“) and live streamed festival sets have leaned heavily into house, on “Chains,” Kaskade stylistically flips this switch, imbuing the new cut with explosive, big room drops. As Kaskade’s fifth release of 2020, “Chains” evidences the producer’s commitment to continuously keeping the morale high among his listeners with new music.
