Jason Ross‘ 2021 came to an end with him being crowned as Dancing Astronaut‘s track of the year and his 2022 began with him being removed from our most-anticipated IDs of the year list and delivering a double-sided EP with the Ophelia Records founder. And the time has finally come for him to open a new chapter through his first original solo release since his Convergence EP exactly a year ago, fittingly reconvening with Seven Lions‘ label for “Hate This Kind of Love” alongside HOLT.Debuted in the midst of his circuitGROUNDS closing set at EDC Las Vegas—as well as several other IDs, including one with HALIENE—just a week prior to its dispersal, “Hate This Kind of Love” sees Jason Ross add to his resume on our 2021 label of the year and although he didn’t explicitly say anything, it may very well open his next extended Ophelia Records outing, considering he had teased a new album earlier in the year. Jason Ross picks up exactly where he left off on Convergence, further fleshing out his radiant, high-class level of melodic bass beside the vocal grace of HOLT.While “Hate This Kind of Love” runs below on repeat, purchase tickets here for Jason Ross’ biggest headlining show to date at the Hollywood Palladium on August 26.Featured image: Kainalu RamosTags: holt, jason ross, Ophelia Records
