Good Morning Mix: Bonobo graces NTS radio with two organic hours of music, announces new imprint and joint TEED EP

Bonobo for breakfast, what could be better?

The esteemed electronic producer brings his sultry style and crate digger’s taste back to NTS Radio, not only dropping two-hours of signature downtempo and organic selections, but also unveiling some of the first details about the launch of his fledgling label, Outlier Records. As noted by Bonobo, real name Simon Green, the imprint’s very first release is scheduled to arrive in the next few weeks and is set to be a scrumptious, two-track collaboration with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Skip to the 37-minute mark for a preview of the inaugural release’s B-side, “6000ft.”

In addition to highlighting his more recent productions—including his remix of Michael Kiwanuka’s “Final Days”—the new NTS mix also showcases Bonobo’s expansive tastes, ranging from the enigmatic Japanese dub techno producer Shinichi Atobe, to a rap ballad from Baltimore’s 2020 breakout artist, Naeem. The result is a set that maintains constant intrigue while generally avoiding the ideal of maximal, or in other words, the perfect start to your day.
