Dutch tastemaker Franky Rizardo turns back time, using his latest release as an opportunity to reinvigorate Grooveyard‘s 1996 single, “Mary Go Wild.” Rizardo’s new remix is the next step in his rise to the top, following a searing 10 hour set at Amsterdam’s prestigious Thuishaven back in March. Rizardo modernizes the ’90s rave classic with pumped-up beats and a hearty prescription of rugged tech-house funk. A veritable DJ weapon, the new release has found early support from veterans like Mark Knight, Fedde Le Grand, and Robbie Rivera. This is owed in large part to the track’s hypnotic melodies and alluring kicks, both of which have become signatures of Rizardo’s ever-exciting productions.According to a post on Franky Rizardo’s Facebook page, this remix is the first of two treatments he will be releasing for “Mary Go Wild.” With the first one out now via Spinnin’ Deep, it shouldn’t be long before the follow-up hits the streets.
