Diplo is the latest artist to hop on Mathame‘s accolade-reaping single, “Never Give Up,” taking on the Italian brothers’ track in a catalog-expanding remix. The new dispatch finds the chameleonic producer diversifying his artistic execution once again, opting for a four-on-the-floor beat and underground stylings. Delivering the third official remix for the Pete Tong-awarded “Essential New Tune,” the Mad Decent head honcho joins the ranks of fellow remixers, Lost Frequencies.
On his take, Diplo transforms the emotional territories of its predecessor into a club-ready house tune. Reconstructing instrumental components into steadfast rhythms, Diplo fills an intoxicating bass line with accented layers of carefully-embedded melodic elements and an elastic hook as vocals dip in and out.
