Cubicore & Linnea Schossow Create Dark Magic with “Monster”

After the massive success of their previous collaboration “Heart of Love“, Ukrainian producer Cubicore and Swedish vocalist Linnea Schossow are back again with “Monster“, a gripping fusion of trance and techno. Out now on all major streaming platforms via Flashover Recordings, “Monster” is a track that dives headfirst into the raw battle between fear and control, wrapped in a sonic package that’s as haunting as it is euphoric.

Built on haunting melodies and an unexpected, energetic drop, “Monster” showcases a powerful evolution in Cubicore’s sound. Known for his emotional, melody-driven productions, Cubicore (real name Denys Tyshlek) pushes into darker territory with this track.

“I wanted to create something that still feels like me but with a darker, heavier twist,” he says. Drawing inspiration from early influences like Eric Prydz and Gabriel & Dresden, Cubicore layers vintage synths and cinematic builds into a breathtaking soundscape that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. “Monster” is his darkest track yet, but sits right at home alongside the rest of his discography.

Linnea Schossow’s vocal performance fits the track perfectly. “I’ve been a long time on the edge, tied to a monster in my head,” she sings, capturing the emotional weight that anchors the track. Her lyrics mirror the dualism of the track’s production itself: hypnotic yet relentless, emotional yet raw. Originally conceived as a softer piece, the track changed into the now-released version in the studio, fueled by the chemistry between Linnea’s voice and Cubicore’s darker vision.

Cubicore has long been a rising star in the progressive house and trance world, with standout tracks like “Bifrost”, “Out of Time”, and “Circles” earning millions of streams and support from house & trance legends including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, and Ferry Corsten. Having played at top festivals like A State of Trance and Beats For Love and brandishing an electrifying stage presence, he continues to cement his place as one of Ukraine’s most exciting talents.

With “Monster”, Cubicore and Linnea Schossow once again prove their creative synergy, delivering a track that’s as emotionally gripping as it is sonically powerful. Take a listen to it here!
