CamelPhat launches new label with remix of ELDON’s ‘Magic Me’

Just over a year ago, CamelPhat landed a massive deal with Sony Music Recordings for their debut album Dark Matter. Building upon the success of their first album, the English duo, consisting of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scalla, have officially launched their own record imprint, When Stars Align. With a closing performance at Creamfields Steelyard Stage and a headlining residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza every Tuesday this summer, CamelPhat turned themselves into one of the most in-demand acts in Europe. With the pair’s trajectory as of late, it was only a matter of time before CamelPhat turned to an in-house record label. In October, When Stars Align announced “Magic Me” as the first song minting the new label. Produced by the up-and-coming ELDON, the Liverpool-based producer mixed deep-house with quick twitchy techno drums for a unique melodic tune. To help propel the new single, CamelPhat created their own remix with a heavier emphasis on progressive and trance-inspired synths. A slower tempo than the original, CamelPhat continues to show they are leaders in the direction of modern melodic house and techno.
