If the first two singles from Land Of The Wayfarer are any indication, Blanke appears to be sitting on something very special with his seven-track EP, set to release on March 4. Blanke has now teamed up with RUNN to give the go-ahead to one of our most-anticipated IDs of 2022, originally played at Brownies & Lemonade’s Lake Havasu event at the end of summer 2021. The payoff didn’t take any time at all, with the pair heading back to Ophelia Records for the formal release of “Lights Out.”“Lights Out” with RUNN is quintessentially euphoric melodic-bass that features Blanke’s top-notch production on display with one of our Dancing Astronaut Supernova‘s stunning vocals. It’s a match made in Ophelia heaven that will have fans yearning for the full release of his upcoming EP. In the more immediate term, Blanke has been providing support for Sullivan King on his Loud & Reckless tour and is most recently coming off a date at Los Angeles’ historic Hollywood Palladium. It’s worth noting that the Australian is coming off a 2021 that saw his collaboration with Jason Ross and Chandler Leighton, “One More Day,” earn Track of the Year honors at Dancing Astronaut. 2022 is already proving to be an even bigger year for the man fans call “Plant Dad,” who just recently confirmed a total of three EPs to be released this year, along with a headlining tour slated for the fall, albeit to-be-announced.
