It’s been a long and quarantined ride, but the normalcy that was largely taken for granted this time last year is slowly returning.
This month, Audio Obscura, one of the Netherlands’ most distinguished event promoters, introduces the Revere Series, an eclectic lineup of house and techno sets streamed from iconic locations and landmarks across the country. The first event, premiering online June 18 at 2:00 p.m. ET, invites Dutchman Joris Voorn to the illustrious Kinderdijk, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site for its dense complex of windmills and scenic dutch landscapes. In all, the series capitalizes on Audio Obscura’s consistent ability to find harmony between beautiful dance music and spirited locations. Watch the online premiere of Joris Voorn’s set below.
In addition to the Revere Series’ online sets, Audio Obscura is also partnering with Pathé in order to bring the event to cinemas throughout Holland, giving fans who’ve spent the spring on lockdown the chance to see upcoming performances by Detroit Swindle and Patrice Bäumel live on the silver screen. It may not be a fully fledged night at the club but there’s nothing like getting dressed up, meeting with friends, and getting down to some damn good tunes on a professional sound system. As the Revere Series takes place lieu of the Netherlands’ recently relieved COVID-19 provisions, fans can still expect sufficient on-site safety measures during the cinema events.
