Audient ORIA Mini Brings Hardware Room Correction To Every Studio

Audient has announced the release of ORIA Mini, a compact room correction hardware system developed in partnership with Sonarworks. Designed for producers, engineers, and studio owners, ORIA Mini provides professional-grade acoustic calibration in a dedicated device that eliminates software strain, latency, and uncertainty in the monitoring process.

Solving The Problem Of Mix Translation

Mixing in untreated rooms has long been a challenge for creators, with acoustic issues causing mixes to sound different on various playback systems. ORIA Mini addresses this problem by placing room correction in a hardware DSP unit that connects directly between an audio interface and speakers.

“Every engineer knows the frustration of chasing mixes that don’t translate outside the studio,” says Andrew Allen, Product & Marketing Director at Audient. “The truth is, your room is usually the problem and if you can’t trust what you’re hearing, you can’t trust your mix. ORIA Mini fixes that in minutes, giving you a professional monitoring environment you can actually trust and the confidence to unlock your best mixes yet.”

Powered by Sonarworks SoundID Reference, ORIA Mini measures and corrects acoustic imperfections in any environment. Calibration profiles are stored on the device, ensuring reliable playback without the need for plugins or systemwide software.

Consistency And Confidence In Monitoring

With support for up to 2.1 speaker systems, 32-bit converters, and a 127dB dynamic range, ORIA Mini delivers transparent monitoring in a portable form factor. Users can load up to four calibration profiles and switch between them instantly, making it easy to adapt to different sessions or environments.

Martins Polelis, CPO at Sonarworks, explains: “At Sonarworks, our mission has always been to help creators hear every detail with confidence, no matter where they work. With ORIA Mini powered by SoundID Reference, that promise extends into a dedicated hardware solution — giving creators studio-accurate sound without CPU strain, latency, or workflow disruption. By correcting room imperfections and ensuring mixes translate across every playback system, ORIA Mini embodies the core of what Sonarworks delivers: consistency, reliability, and freedom for creators to focus purely on their music.”

The system also allows users to simulate playback environments such as cars or mobile devices, providing an additional layer of mix-checking directly from the desk.

Set And Forget Simplicity

Ease of use was a core part of ORIA Mini’s design. Setup and calibration can be completed in under 20 minutes, and once profiles are created, the unit operates quietly in the background.

Andrew Allen adds: “We understand whilst room correction has such a positive impact on your ability to achieve great mixes it is also complicated! It is for that reason that ORIA Mini is designed to be a set and forget box – offering consistent, reliable performance with ultra-low latency, doing its job quietly in the background with zero fuss. No crashes, no CPU strain — just high resolution, consistently accurate monitoring whether you’re mixing in your DAW or simply streaming music via Spotify.”

The unit is compatible with any audio interface or speakers, supports both analogue and digital inputs, and includes dedicated outputs for sub integration. It is bus-powered via USB3.0 and works with macOS and Windows systems.
