The secluded California desert has long served as a haven for urban escapees and creatives, drawn by its unique blend of modern and vintage aesthetics, shimmering horizons, vibrant sunrises, and a rich musical heritage. This November, Palm Springs continues this tradition with the return of Desert Air, an exploration into the future of electronic music set against the vast expanse of the Mojave.
Presented by Splash House and Goldenvoice, Desert Air will bring together an eclectic mix of avant-garde tastemakers and genre-defying DJs at two of the region’s most idyllic open-air venues. During the day, the Palm Springs Surf Club will host a mix of music, cultural programming, water activities, and expansive food and beverage offerings, all set to the backdrop of poolside sets. By night, the party shifts to the iconic Palm Springs Air Museum, where electronic music takes center stage on the open-air tarmac and within industrial hangars, beneath the wings of vintage aircraft and framed by the picturesque San Jacinto mountains.
Headlining the event are Jamie xx, KAYTRANADA, and Club Heat, the new collaborative project from Tove Lo and SG Lewis. The lineup also features Shygirl Presents Club Shy, VTSS, Slayyyter (DJ Set), and Sammy Virji.
Continuing the genre-spanning lineup are North American selector Avalon Emerson and the inimitable Joy Orbison. Other highlights include Swedish pop sensation COBRAH, the collaborative duo KETBOI69 (Partiboi69 and KETTAMA), Australian standout Mall Grab, French trio Bon Entendeur, the ethereal soundscapes of Sofia Kourtesis, a live performance from Sam Gellaitry, Italy’s okgiorgio, London duo JOY (Anonymous), and rising underground stars Anish Kumar and ATRIP.
Desert Air also partners with some of Los Angeles’ foremost electronic music collectives, who challenge the status quo in the city’s hidden spaces. Expect sounds and experiences curated by Lights Down Low, Midnight Lovers, Por Detroit, and Chapter One, with the latter hosting a pop-up record shop at the event.
