ALPHA 9 pairs with Jonathan Mendelsohn for ‘New Horizons’ single, uploads full ABGT500 set

A full-length album from ARTY‘s trance alter-ego will be arriving to start the new year. Revealed during his appearance at ABGT500, New Horizons is slated for January 23 after nearly a decade and a half of releases under the ALPHA 9 name. The Anjunabeats-hosted album had been continually teased this past year and in September, a compilation was shared to sum up some of the alias’ most iconic releases, further gesturing towards the inevitable publication of a proper project. And after sharing New Horizons‘ lead single—”Calling” with Scorz and Tom Bailey—at the top of October, ARTY is donning his ALPHA 9 hat once again for the album’s second preview, “Down to Love” with Jonathan Mendelsohn.Featuring one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Supernovas members, “Down to Love” was one of seven different unlabeled tracks—and will be one of 14 tracks on New Horizons—included in ALPHA 9’s ID-doused ABGT500 set. And “Down to Love” doubles down on the sheer excitement for a complete body of work from ALPHA 9, with ARTY harmonizing an elated hybrid of progressive and trance behind the lyrical command of one of dance music’s finest singer-songwriters. Stream “Down To Love” below as well as ALPHA 9’s hour-long ABGT500 stream.Featurd image: Jasmine SafaeianTags: , , ,
